We serve the industrial, process, heating, cooling markets, and the waste water industry.Job Title: Boiler TechnicianDepartment: Maryland Service DepartmentLocation: Annapolis Junction, MarylandReports To: Service ManagerJob OverviewThe Boiler Technician is a highly self-motivated professional who has a minimum of two years’ experience pertaining to mechanical equipment service (i.e. air compressors, pumps, boilers). This individual must be able to provide service as needed on a 24/7 basis to our customers. Some jobs do require an overnight stay and mandatory training classes may also require this individual to be out of town for one-week periods.Our most successful Boiler Technicians:Possess superior communication, analytical, and organizational skillsExhibit goal-oriented behaviors and time management principlesExude a customer-focused attitude Apply extensive attention to detail to all tasksToggle between projects and responsibilities with easeHave mechanical and electrical experience with pumps and air compressors, and the ability to troubleshoot.Possess basic experience with computers and wireless communication devices preferred.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted.Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematicsAbility to operate test/measuring equipmentHave pump and air compressor field service experience (preferred).Possesses a High school diploma / GED equivalentAbility to pass background and reference checks and a drug screening.Must maintain an active, REAL ID compliant driver’s license with a clean driving record, or a valid U.S. passport, as required for access to federal facilities.Scope of responsibility:Independently perform expert field service and repair on pumps and air compressors.Follow OSHA Safety requirements at all timesPerform new & repaired equipment start-up commissioning and training.Properly and accurately complete service related documentation, and utilize electronic communication & documentation devices where applicable (i.e. Wireless tablets).Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers alike.Maintain an organized, clean, and resourceful work environment, including the shop, work area, and service vehicle.Consistently provide courteous and professional representation of Cummins-Wagner employees and products.Required to be on call and able to travel for out of town jobs.Some jobs do require an overnight stay, and mandatory training classes may also require this individual to be out of town for one-week periodsServe as a mentor and assist with the training of new field service techniciansPerform all other duties as assignedCummins-Wagner gives back to their employees:Employee Stock Ownership ProgramBonus ProgramTuition and Certification Fee Assistance401k MatchFlexible Spending AccountComprehensive Health InsuranceLife InsuranceShort & Long-Term Disability InsuranceOur History: Founded in 1960 by "Charlie" Cummins and "Chub" Wagner, Cummins-Wagner began as a one-product, two-employee Company in a one-room office.
