Chiller Technician
POSITION DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
With a technical expertise in HVAC and control systems is qualified to troubleshoot, repair, and assist in refurbishment of rental equipment. Also supports fabrication and other depot tasks related to rental equipment, RSR’s, and customization as needed.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Supports shop floor activities with an emphasis on Chiller/AC repair and refurbishment. Also, supports the full range of other fabrication activities as required.
Able to function as an on-site turn-key setup technician in peak season or on complex jobs.
Qualified to operate shop machinery including cranes, saws, forklifts, and semi-tractor trailers.
Completes required documentation of work activities.
Supports Testing and repair of fleet assets, advises manager of potential process improvements that can drive efficiency and/or promote safety in the shop.
Serves as backup Depot Coordinator for the Rental business as directed by manager.
Performs other tasks and/or projects that may be assigned or needed to support the shop work.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two years’ experience in a HVAC environment.
Must have Universal Certification.
Understanding of refrigerant systems and best practices is required.
Occasional travel required upon short notice.
Must be certified to operate forklift.
Crane operation experience is preferred.
Shipping and receiving experience a plus.
Basis proficiency in PC based programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, electronic mail and the internet is required.
Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external personnel.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
