Company Description We suggest you enter details here. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Inspector, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Special Inspector will conduct field inspections to ensure construction projects meet building codes, project specifications, and quality control standards. They will prepare detailed reports, liaise with contractors and project stakeholders, and verify compliance with engineering plans. The role requires maintaining accurate documentation and providing technical guidance throughout the inspection process to ensure safety and structural integrity. Qualifications Experience and knowledge in structural inspections, material testing, and code complianceProficiency in interpreting engineering plans, specifications, and construction drawingsExcellent written communication and documentation skills for preparing detailed inspection reportsStrong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skillsRelevant certifications such as ICC, AWS, ACI, or NICET are highly beneficialAbility to collaborate effectively with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholdersPrevious experience in on-site inspections and familiarity with safety regulationsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
