The Executive Director will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with school leaders, policymakers, and community partners, and for increasing public awareness and support for charter schools. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have significant experience in public policy, government, advocacy, or public affairs strategy, with a strong preference for those with a background in education or the charter school sector. The role requires a leader with a high level of personal drive, a strong work ethic, and the ability to balance the needs of a membership organization with a broader policy mission. Organizational leadership experience, including managing teams and budgets, is essential, as is a proven track record of building coalitions and partnerships.
