At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation-including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.What You'll Do #LI-TC1BridgeBio is establishing a dedicated, senior U.S. public policy leadership role focused on CMS, HHS, and coverage and payment policy that directly affects patient access and innovation across the BridgeBio portfolio.The Executive Director, U.S. Public Policy will own the end-to-end U.S. public policy strategy related to Medicare, Medicaid, and payment models, and will be accountable for shaping policy positions that influence access, reimbursement, and long-term portfolio value, and advising on implementation internally.This role operates at the enterprise level, advising executive leadership, shaping portfolio strategy, and serving as BridgeBio's primary public policy authority with U.S. regulators.ResponsibilitiesLead U.S. public policy strategyDefine and lead BridgeBio's U.S. public policy strategy, particularly Medicare (Parts B and D), Medicaid, alternative and value-based payment models, IRA implementation, CMMI initiatives, and coverage and reimbursement policyServe as the company's internal expert on U.S. public policy, advising leadership on policy design, implementation risk, and long-term implicationsTranslate complex public policy developments into clear strategic options and recommendations for executive leadershipCMS, HHS, and external engagement leadershipAct as BridgeBio's primary interface with CMS and HHS, engaging directly with agency leadership, career staff, and relevant HHS officesBring and leverage an extensive existing network across CMS and HHS to inform strategy and anticipate policy directionRepresent BridgeBio externally in public policy coalitions, trade associations, and forums where coverage, payment, and access policy are centralAnalytical leadership and policy modelingApply strong analytical and modeling skills to assess financial, access, and portfolio-level impacts of U.S. public policy proposals and payment modelsPartner closely with Strategic Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and Government Affairs teams to model implications of Medicare and Medicaid policy changes, reimbursement dynamics, and payment reform initiativesDevelop rigorous, data-driven policy analyses to support advocacy positions and executive decision-makingCross-functional executive partnershipWork collaboratively with Commercial, Government Affairs, Market Access, Strategic Finance, Medical, and Patient Advocacy teams to ensure public policy strategy is fully integrated across the organizationServe as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on U.S. public policy mattersPrepare executive level briefings, scenario analyses, and policy updatesWhat Success Looks LikeBridgeBio is recognized as a credible, informed, and effective policy voice with CMS and HHSPolicy risks and opportunities are proactively identified and integrated into portfolio and commercial strategyExecutive leadership has clear, data-driven policy guidance to support access, reimbursement, and long-term value creationDurable policy frameworks are in place to support multiple affiliates and evolving assetsWhere You'll WorkThis is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration in our Washington DC office.Who You Are15+ years of experience in U.S. health policyGraduate-level degree required (MPH, MPP, JD, PhD, MBA)Prior CMS experience, payor, and/or top-tier management consulting experience with deep CMS and HHS exposure strongly preferredExtensive expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and U.S. payment modelsRecognized public policy expert with demonstrated experience engaging CMS and HHS as regulatorsExtensive professional network across CMS and HHSStrong analytical, quantitative, and policy modeling capabilitiesProven ability to operate independently and lead public policy strategy in a complex organizationYou have demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in adopting AI-powered tools and technologiesRewarding Those Who Make the Mission PossibleWe have high expectations for our team members. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.Salary$305,000 - $350,000 USDAs a global company, our comprehensive benefits may vary based on location.
