SENIOR AUDITOR
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Auditor, you will plan and oversee audits, supervise and train junior staff, and ensure work accuracy and compliance. Your duties include risk assessments, coordinating audits, and managing engagements. You will complete audits on time, submit reports, and present findings to improve compliance and efficiency. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities:
· Plan and oversee the auditing process through to completion.
· Allocate responsibilities to supervise and train junior and staff auditors.
· Review team members’ work for accuracy and compliance
· Perform effective risk and control assessments.
· Complete audits on time and submit reports to audit manager.
· Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency.
· Coordinate and schedule audits
· Research technical matters
· Be extremely organized and manage various aspects of an engagement.
· Minor travel will be required.
Qualification/Skills:
Proven experience as an auditor with over 3-4 years of experience in public accounting
In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices
Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Excellent communication and written skills
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving and project management
Ability to communicate complex data clearly with team members and clients.
Great interpersonal and client service skills
Works well in a team as well as individually
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong mathematical and analytical expertise
Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· Accounting: 2 years (Required)
· Public Auditing: 2 years (Required)
· Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and auditing.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
