Senior Accountant

Job Title: AccountantLocation: Lake Mary, FL, 32746Duration: 5+ months with possibility of extensionPay Range: $55-$66/hr Senior Accountant Profile Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant with deep expertise in intercompany accounting, lease accounting, multi‑currency operations, payroll accounting, and global month‑end close activities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple regions and legal entities. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning complex accounting areas end‑to‑end, partnering across global finance teams, and supporting audit and reporting requirements in a fast‑paced, multinational environment. Key Responsibilities Intercompany & Global Accounting Lead the resolution of historical intercompany issues, including trade intercompany balances, intercompany loans, receivables, investments in subsidiaries, and equity mismatches across trading partners. Prepare and reconcile monthly and quarterly intercompany recharge entries across global entities. Investigate and resolve intercompany mismatches to ensure accurate consolidation across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions. Confirm and monitor subsidiary investments and intercompany balances, ensuring proper classification and documentation. Multi‑Currency, Payroll & Accruals Perform foreign currency remeasurement and translation, including P&L and balance sheet variance analysis. Prepare monthly payroll‑related journal entries across multiple regions, including restructuring charges and payroll reallocations. Support quarterly estimate calculations for financial reporting and tax‑related purposes. Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting Prepare fixed asset roll forwards, depreciation reasonableness analyses, and intangible amortization schedules. Manage lease accounting activities, including maintaining leases in Costar/Lease Query, preparing ROU asset and lease liability entries, and performing SAP‑to‑lease system reconciliations. Close Management & Reporting Execute key components of the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis. Provide trial balances, GL, and cost center mappings for consolidation systems (e.g., FCCS / HFM). Maintain close calendars, manage accounting periods, and actively participate in pre‑close and close meetings. Support management reporting and present assigned sections of monthly financial reviews. Audit, Controls & Compliance Support internal and external audits, including data gathering, audit selections, walkthroughs, and auditor inquiries. Participate in SOX control walkthroughs and internal audit readiness activities. Prepare quarterly and annual compliance deliverables, including support for insurance, statutory, and governance requirements. Systems, Process & Collaboration Maintain ERP master data (GL accounts, cost centers) and support system integrations. Collaborate closely with global accounting teams and shared service partners. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation. Support ad‑hoc projects, training, and cross‑functional initiatives as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent preferred. 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multi‑entity, international environment. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements. Hands‑on experience with SAP (FI/CO preferred), consolidation tools (FCCS / HFM), lease accounting systems (Costar/LeaseQuery), and advanced Excel. Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations, meet tight close deadlines, and operate independently. Strong communication skills with experience partnering across multiple time zones.
