SummaryAn Estimator is responsible for working within the Estimating Department, while working closely with the Sales Team to ensure the Company is sending out winning quotes. Duties and responsibilities performed by the Estimators are intended to provide costs for projects, communicate with clients and vendors, and understand customer specifications.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReview plans, job specifications, and request pricing from manufacturers to generate quotesPrioritize and organize quotes, as requestedMaintain quote board of all quotes and bids ongoing within the Estimating DepartmentOccasionally attend manufacturer training seminars to build product knowledgeCreate detailed and accurate job quotes to hand off to the Sales TeamCollaborate with the Sales Team and project teams to create winning quotesUpdate software programs, as neededAll other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsGreat attention to detailStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to multi-task several projects and maintain organizationBasic understanding of food service CAD symbolsAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesAbility to read, scale, and measure plansUnderstand MEP utilities as they relate to plansPreferred QualificationsPrevious Estimating experienceAutoQuotes experienceSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no current supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and works under fluorescent lighting.
