The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing fundraising performance, strengthening alumni engagement, and driving both short-term and long-term success. This role requires a strategic relationship builder with a proven track record in closing six and seven-figure gifts, the ability to translate academic excellence into compelling philanthropic opportunities, and the management of complex stakeholder relationships. The Executive Director will oversee the implementation of fundraising strategies, ensure the effective coordination of departmental programs, and manage a team to achieve individual and collective goals. Essential functions of the role include identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual donors for significant gifts, supervising staff, and representing the organization at various events. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field, and a strong background in major gift fundraising. A collaborative approach, superior communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders are essential. While not mandatory, knowledge of and experience in the higher education environment is strongly preferred.
