EDI / ERA Enrollment Specialist | Hybrid {168582} Location: Louisville, KY 40222 Pay Rate: Up to $23.00/hour Job Type: Contract-to-Hire based on attendance, performance and business needs Schedule: Standard business hours (hybrid environment) High Priority Role We are actively seeking an experienced EDI / ERA Enrollment Specialist with strong knowledge of claims, remits, and clearinghouse enrollment processes. Candidates must have hands-on experience enrolling EDI and EFTs and working within healthcare billing workflows. Position Overview The EDI / ERA Enrollment Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing enrollment processes within EDI clearinghouses (such as Waystar and Availity). This role ensures accurate setup, timely processing, and resolution of enrollment issues related to claims, remits (ERA), and electronic payments (EFT). This is a detail-driven role requiring strong analytical skills, system knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Complete and track EDI/ERA enrollment registrations accurately and on time Generate, submit, and monitor EDI agreements to meet implementation deadlines Investigate and resolve enrollment denials, rejections, and payer-related issues Manage enrollment for EDI, ERA (remits), and EFT transactions Maintain detailed documentation throughout the enrollment lifecycle Monitor accounts and follow up with payers to ensure successful enrollment Respond to internal and external customer requests related to clearinghouse setup (e.g., user access, permissions, workgroups) Support system workflows and maintain knowledge of departmental tools and processes Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Hands-on experience with EDI enrollment (claims, ERA/remits, EFT) Experience enrolling and managing clearinghouse connections Strong understanding of healthcare billing workflows and payer processes Ability to troubleshoot enrollment issues and resolve rejections Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desired) Waystar experience (strongly preferred) Experience working with: Workgroups in Waystar (setup, monitoring, and maintenance) Rejected and denied claims within Waystar Experience with other clearinghouses such as Availity Familiarity with Service Plus or similar ticketing systems Key Skills Proficiency with EDI platforms and clearinghouse systems (Waystar, Availity, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication High attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) What We’re Looking For Candidates who know how to enroll EDI, ERA (remits), and EFTs independently Individuals with a strong understanding of claims workflows and payer requirements Self-starters who can work both independently and within a team environment
