Intermediate Office Engineer | Wastewater Resource Recovery FacilityClient:Our client is a full-service engineering & management firm providing professional engineering, program management, construction management, construction inspection, and design-build services primarily to public sector clients and agencies. Since the firm's inception, they have been involved in some of the largest infrastructure improvement projects in Florida and New York. Key personnel comprise of a diverse group of engineering, construction, and technology professionals with an emphasis on quality and client satisfaction. Professional staff have experience in Program/Construction Management; Pre-construction Services; Project Controls; Scheduling; Estimating; Land Development; Civil & Transportation Engineering; Structural, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering; and Digital Technology Integration. A digital-first approach ensures the design of intelligent and sustainable communities.Description:The Office Engineer supports the Resident Engineer and project team by managing construction documentation, cost controls, and administrative processes for capital improvement projects at a wastewater resource recovery facility. The role ensures accurate records, timely processing of submittals and payments, and effective coordination among contractors, inspectors, designers, and facility staff. Field based at one of NYC's active wastewater facilities in Brooklyn or Queens.Responsibilities:Maintain and organize all project records, correspondence, and documentation in accordance with contract requirementsTrack, log, and route submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and field directivesReview contractor payment applications; verify quantities, track costs, and assist with payment approvalsMaintain contract logs, schedules, and progress reportsPrepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action itemsCoordinate document control for drawings, specifications, permits, and revisionsSupport change order tracking and cost documentationAssist the Resident Engineer with project closeout documentation, as-builts, and final recordsInterface with contractors, inspectors, designers, and owner representatives, ensuring timely information flowSupport compliance with safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field3–5 years of experience supporting construction projects, preferably wastewater, water, or heavy civil infrastructureFamiliarity with wastewater treatment facilities, process equipment, or utility construction preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and contract documentsStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skillsProficiency with construction management software, document control systems, and MS OfficeExperience with public-sector projects and payment procedures a plus Education:Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably a Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management, or a related technical degree.To Apply:If you have the knowledge, skills, and experience for this role, please attach your resume using our email at .Increase in salaries: We have a proven track record of negotiating above-market salaries for our permanent placementsRecruiters:Josh Rabbani,Bob Giangrasso,Kirty Rajput,
