As an Energy Efficiency/Telecom Test Engineer, you will bring top-tier technical expertise to support business processes that ensure compliance throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will drive timely regulatory assessments to secure necessary country certifications aligned with business priorities and help maintain accreditations for Cisco's world-class test laboratories. Additionally, you will provide expert guidance to business units to enable Energy Efficiency and Telecom compliance for Cisco products.Your ImpactJoining Cisco's Corporate Compliance organization as an Energy Efficiency/Telecom Test Engineer, your work will directly ensure that our products meet strict compliance and energy efficiency standards. You will drive this impact by:Ensuring Product Excellence: Validating and analyzing the performance of Cisco products to meet energy efficiency goalsDriving Certification: Preparing the essential reports and documentation required to successfully support certification processesCross-Functional Troubleshooting: Collaborating closely with hardware design and software teams to guide design changes and resolve technical issuesAdvancing Sustainability & Global Standards: Staying ahead of evolving global regulations to ensure Cisco products remain environmentally responsible and industry-leading>Optimizing Test Methodologies: Driving continuous improvement in the lab by developing innovative test procedures and streamlining workflows to accelerate product time-to-marketMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred3+ years of relevant experienceStrong communication skills with the ability to share information clearly among team membersStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions effectivelyAbility to generate comprehensive test summaries and related documentationCapability to manage and track testing across multiple projects under tight schedules, ensuring timely completionPreferred Qualifications Experience with Lot 9 and Energy Star StandardsProficiency in using test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, IXIA Traffic Generators, DSLAMs, etc.Knowledge of ADSL, VDSL, and Hierarchical Digital Interfaces (E1, T1, E3, T3)Experience working with external auditors on compliance initiatives, particularly related to ISO/IEC 17025Familiarity with servers, large networking equipment, and Cisco productsWhy Cisco?At Cisco, we're revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; andOnce performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:New York City Metro Area:$101,300.00 - $148,100.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:$88,500.00 - $128,900.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
