Senior Estimator

RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate plans, specifications, and geotechnical data with a proactive risk approach Conduct site visits and pre-bid assessments Determine optimal scopes: self-perform vs subcontract Develop and distribute subcontractor/vendor bid packages Build detailed estimates using HCSS HeavyBid (takeoffs, assemblies, production rates) Analyze and level subcontractor quotes; recommend awards Lead internal bid reviews and pricing strategy discussions Support DBE/SBE participation requirements when applicable Help position the company competitively to win targeted work QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, roadway, or transportation projects Strong knowledge of grading, paving, concrete, and infrastructure scopes Advanced proficiency with: HCSS HeavyBid (required) AGTEK, OST, Primavera P6, Excel or similar tools Strong communication skills with confidence presenting to leadership Competitive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on winning work BENEFITS: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Direct Hire Paid Time Off 401(K) matching Gym membership discounts Employee Assistance Program Salary: $90K-$100K annually Ask for: Roger Armenta Job Id: 26060 Ajulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
