Job Title: EstimatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Estimator to create detailed cost estimates for highway and heavy civil construction projects. This role involves reviewing bid documents, plans, specifications, and quantities to develop precise pricing strategies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop accurate cost estimates for highway and heavy civil construction projects.Review bid documents, plans, specifications, and quantities to ensure precise pricing.Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.Support the bid process, including pricing reviews and final bid preparation.Coordinate with operations, project management, and field teams to validate assumptions and production rates.Analyze historical cost data and past project performance to improve estimate accuracy.Assist with bid schedules, deadlines, and required documentation for public-sector projects.Participate in pre-bid meetings and internal bid reviews as needed.Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.Essential Skills0-3 years of estimating experience in highway or heavy civil construction.Experience estimating highway construction projects, including public-sector or DOT-funded work is a plus.Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quantity takeoffs.Ability to produce accurate estimates under tight bid deadlines.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams.Additional Skills & Qualifications* Experience with DOT regulations and preconstruction processes.* Experience in construction management is advantageous.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Andover, NH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid HolidaysWorkplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Andover,NH.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Mar 16, 2026.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
