Job Summary: AWS DevOps Engineer with Data ScienceLocation: Juno Beach, FL (Onsite, Day One)### Job Summary (List Format) Engineer and operationalize a Python-based data science analytics platform (Power Systems Optimizer). Combine responsibilities across DevOps, data platform engineering, and data science application support. Develop and maintain Python applications for analytics, forecasting, and optimization. Translate technical and business requirements into maintainable solutions for data access and deployment. Enhance and manage GitHub repository structure, branching strategy, code review standards, and release management. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) for build, test, deployment, and rollback. Develop and maintain AWS CDK components and reusable infrastructure-as-code deployment patterns. Support semantic and reporting layer integration, metadata configuration, and application integration. Implement automated testing (unit, integration, regression, deployment, smoke tests) and manage defect resolution. Manage application configuration, secrets, environment promotion, observability, and production troubleshooting. Produce technical documentation, test plans, deployment guides, release notes, and operational runbooks. Collaborate with stakeholders, cloud engineers, and technical teams for platform enhancements. Deliver updated GitHub repositories, CI/CD workflows, reusable infrastructure code, and reporting integrations. Maintain production deployment documentation and provide knowledge transfer/support documentation.Required Experience & Skills 5+ years in software/data engineering, DevOps, or data science platform delivery. Strong Python development experience (APIs, packages, testing, dependency management). Expertise with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and release automation. Experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools. Integration experience with cloud storage, databases, and reporting tools. Automated testing, deployment validation, environment management, and production support skills. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities.Preferred Experience in energy market analytics, forecasting, or optimization. Familiarity with energy trading, power markets, or renewable energy platforms. Knowledge of ISO/RTO market structures (e.g., ERCOT, PJM, CAISO). Experience with cloud analytics, reporting, visualization, and ML/optimization solutions.Expected Deliverables Improved GitHub repositories, CI/CD workflows, and branching standards.
