Data Science Platform & DevOps EngineerLocation: Juno Beach, FLExperience: 8+ YearsEmployment Type: ContractWorkplace Type: On-siteVisa: No OPT/CPT/GC/GC EAD.JOB SUMMARYWe are looking for an experienced Data Science Platform & DevOps Engineer to support the development, deployment, automation, and production operations of data-oriented applications and cloud platforms.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Python development experience along with expertise in GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, cloud technologies, automated testing, deployment validation, monitoring, and production support.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop and maintain data-oriented applications using Python, APIs, packages, testing frameworks, and dependency management.• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.• Implement pull-request controls, code-quality practices, and release automation.• Automate infrastructure provisioning and environment management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable technologies.• Integrate analytics applications with cloud storage, databases, query services, semantic layers, and reporting tools.• Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment validation processes.• Manage development, test, and production environments.• Monitor applications and infrastructure and troubleshoot technical and production issues.• Provide production support and help improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.• Collaborate with engineering, data, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science platforms, or DevOps delivery.• Strong hands-on Python development experience.• Experience with data-oriented applications, APIs, Python packages, testing frameworks, and dependency management.• Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, pull-request controls, and release automation.• Experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable Infrastructure-as-Code tools.• Experience integrating analytics applications with cloud storage, databases, query services, semantic layers, or reporting tools.• Experience with automated testing, deployment validation, environment management, monitoring, and production support.• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.• Strong stakeholder collaboration skills.PREFERRED SKILLS• AWS cloud platform experience• Data engineering or data science platform experience• Cloud infrastructure automation• DevOps and CI/CD best practices• Production application support• Monitoring and observability• Automated testing and deployment• Experience working in Agile environmentsKEY TECHNOLOGIESPython | GitHub | GitHub Actions | CI/CD | AWS | AWS CDK | Terraform | CloudFormation | Infrastructure as Code | APIs | Data Engineering | Data Science Platforms | Automated Testing | Cloud Storage | Databases | Monitoring | Production Support
