Reports To Senior Software Engineering ManagerWhat You Will Be Doing As aSenior Software Engineeron theDriver Servicesteam, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services that support our rapidly growing global EV driver base.What You Will Bring to ChargePointImplement reliable APIs and microservices usingJavaandSpring BootContribute to scalablemicroservices architectureserving global driver use casesWork withSQL and NoSQL databases(MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)Build and maintain asynchronous event pipelines withKafkaorRabbitMQCollaborate with global teams across the US, Europe, and India to deliver high-quality, production-grade solutionsFollow best practices in testing, monitoring, observability, and CI/CDParticipate actively in design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessionsThis role offers the opportunity to learn and grow by working on systems that handle hundreds of thousands of driver interactions daily, at the intersection ofclean technology and enterprise-scale software .RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience5+ yearsof backend software development experienceProficiency inJavaandSpring Boot , with hands-on experience in production environmentsSolid understanding ofmicroservicesand distributed systems fundamentalsExperience withdatabases(SQL and/or NoSQL)Familiarity withmessage queues(Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)Strong problem-solving and debugging skillsGood communication and collaboration skills, including working withglobally distributed teamsNice to HaveExposure tocloud-native platforms(AWS, GCP, or Azure)Familiarity withcontainerization and orchestration(Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with GolangorPHPis a plusLocation Campbell, CAChargePoint is committed to fair andequitablecompensation practices.The targeted US salary range forroles at this operating level is $70,000to $200,000.
