In this role, you will facilitate the daily logistics of the shipping area(s), ensuring the highest standards in safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity. You will play a key role in promoting continuous improvement, building strong employee relations, and driving efficiency throughout the plant.ResponsibilitiesWork with Team Leaders to ensure lean principles are applied to all areasProvide direction and support to Team LeadersMonitor inventory, expenditures, and manpower in accordance with area demandsSeek input from employees on manufacturing processes and functional improvements through root cause analysis and collective actions while building strong employee relationsCommunicate production requirements to production teamProvide direction and make job assignments as necessary to meet demands of workloadEnforce company policies and safety rules, ensuring equipment is properly guarded and in good working conditionCommunicate with other departments within Hytrol to meet customer demandWork with Hytrol's Safety Department and Quality Department to ensure Hytrol delivers a quality product while maintaining the safety of Hytrol's employeesQualifications5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentProven ability to lead and manage a teamStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipmentProficiency in using manufacturing software and toolsKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practicesStrong decision-making and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations and ability to enforce standards and ensure compliance with regulationsAbility to implement and maintain quality assurance standardsStrong conflict resolution and negotiation skillsExperience with continuous improvement initiativesEducationHigh school diploma or GED is required and Bachelor's degree is preferred
