HC&N Healthcare Solutions - Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse RNA nursing home is seeking a talented and hardworking Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse RN to join our ever-growing team.Staff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Job Description:Plan, organize, and implement skills training programs/in-services for clinical staff and other departments; Perform orientation classesDevelop educational strategies to facilitate quality improvement effortsCoordinate with and utilize community resources in meeting educational and staffing needsOversee the process for competency evaluation of new employeesRecommend progression to permanent employment or extension of orientation/probationary period for new employeesWork closely with HR regarding hiring process and new employee files.Serves as designated associate responsible for monitoring Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDCServes as the on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response activities, in accordance with current CDC recommendationsMaintains a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practicesMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionMust have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Infection Prevention and Control ProgramMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationStaff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Requirements/Qualifications:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse's license in the State of FloridaMust possess the ability to make independent decisions and mature judgments.Prior Staff Development/Education experience Preferred.Point Click care preferredSalary Range: Based on education and experienceAn Equal Opportunity Employer
