K-12 Science Coordinator (2026-2027)
Primary PurposeProvide strategic leadership, coordination, and support for the district's K-12 science program to ensure high-quality, aligned, and research-based instruction that improves student learning outcomes in science. Support campus administrators and teachers through curriculum development, instructional coaching, assessment analysis, intervention planning, and professional learning focused on effective, guaranteed, and viable delivery of K-12 science instruction.QualificationsEducation/Certification:Master's degree from accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsementsSpecial Knowledge/SkillsStrong knowledge of elementary and/or secondary Science curriculum, instruction, and assessmentKnowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and state accountability systems related to K-12 science and the vertical alignment of those science TEKSAbility to analyze student achievement and assessment data to improve instructional effectivenessKnowledge of evidence-based science instructional practices and intervention strategiesAbility to develop and deliver professional learning for adult learnersStrong organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsAbility to support differentiated instruction and hands-on learning in authentic settings for science instruction (including the 5E Model, and other research-based instructional models)ExperienceMinimum of 5 years successful teaching experience in elementary and/or secondary scienceDemonstrated instructional leadership experience (department chair, instructional coach, AP, etc.) Experience with curriculum development and assessment design Experience analyzing student achievement data, preferredWork Schedule: 221 daysSalary: Pay Grade 4 - Administrative/Professional Hiring ScheduleScreenings may begin 5 school days from date posted.
