Elementary ELAR/SS Coordinator (2026-2027)

Primary PurposeProvide leadership, coordination, and support for the district's elementary English Language Arts and Social Studies programs to ensure high-quality, aligned, and research-based instruction that improves student achievement in literacy and social studies. Support campus administrators and teachers through curriculum development, instructional coaching, assessment analysis, intervention planning, and professional learning focused on effective, guaranteed, and viable elementary literacy and social studies instruction.QualificationsEducation/Certification:Master's degree from accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsementsSpecial Knowledge/SkillsStrong knowledge of elementary literacy, reading, writing, language arts, and social studies curriculum, instruction, and assessmentKnowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and state accountability systems related to English Language Arts and ReadingAbility to analyze student achievement and assessment data to improve instructional effectivenessKnowledge of evidence-based literacy instructional practices, intervention strategies, and the science of readingKnowledge of inquiry-based and primary-source instructional practices in social studiesAbility to develop and deliver professional learning for adult learnersStrong organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsAbility to support differentiated instruction, academic discourse, reading comprehension, and written communication practicesExperienceMinimum of 5 years successful teaching experience in elementary English Language Arts and Reading (prefer Social Studies experience as well)Instructional coaching or campus/district leadership experience preferredWork Schedule: 221 daysSalary: Pay Grade 4 - Administrative/Professional Hiring ScheduleScreenings may begin 5 school days from date posted.
