Master Scheduler

We are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to support production planning within a high-complexity aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) while aligning customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability, and supplier commitments to ensure on-time delivery of mission-critical aerospace hardware. The Master Scheduler partners closely with program management, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics teams to translate program demand into executable production plans. This role also supports the organization’s Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP/S&OP) processes and proactively manages scheduling risks such as capacity constraints, material shortages, engineering changes, and production bottlenecks. Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support customer demand and program delivery commitments.Integrate sales orders, program requirements, and engineering release schedules into executable production schedules.Collaborate with program management, manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure production schedules align with available capacity, labor, materials, and equipment.Support the organization’s SIOP/S&OP processes by developing demand and capacity plans that align with customer commitments and operational capabilities.Perform capacity analysis and labor loading assessments to validate production schedule feasibility and identify potential constraints.Coordinate closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure long-lead materials, purchased components, and outside processes are aligned with production schedules.Monitor production progress and proactively adjust schedules to address material shortages, engineering changes, quality issues, or production delays.Lead or participate in cross-functional planning meetings with program management, production, purchasing, shipping, and customer service teams.Provide visibility to leadership regarding schedule adherence, production throughput, backlog risk, and on-time delivery performance.Maintain and distribute scheduling reports reflecting production status, material readiness, and schedule performance metrics.Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and manufacturing efficiency.Provide recommendations to leadership regarding production planning improvements, capacity optimization, and scheduling process enhancements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of experience in production scheduling, master scheduling, or manufacturing planning roles.Experience supporting complex manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defense, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing strongly preferred.Strong understanding of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), demand planning, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent manufacturing planning systems.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate production constraints and develop executable schedules.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management teams.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) preferred.Salary: $135,000 - $150,000
