Solution Engineer

ECS is seeking a Solution Engineer to work remotely. We are currently seeking an organized, detailed oriented, and Solutions Engineer to join our team. This role will entail working closely with the client to understand needs and pain-points, and designing, configuring, and implementing technical solutions across a range of cloud providers, virtualization platforms, and supporting infrastructure.Responsibilities:Finding intelligent ways to solve problems without a lot of repeat workLeveraging expertise to advise and create solutions that are simple, secure, and maintainableBuild, maintain, and update automation code and/or scriptsSupport Linux and Windows environmentsHelp develop strategies to scale, secure, monitor, and maintain cloud hosted servicesOptimize the observability of the environmentDesign and implement continuous integration and delivery automation in support of software, configuration, and infrastructure managementSupport, architect, and troubleshoot network changes in a hybrid cloud environmentDevelopment of microservices and applicationsFinding opportunities to use data and metrics to inform decisions and create changes to improve the environmentSalary Range: $100,000 - $160,000General Description of BenefitsUnderstanding of Git and how to use itFamiliarity working in Agile / SCRUM Development environmentsExperience with bash and/or PowerShellDeep knowledge of tuning Linux internals & core system services (DNS, SMTP, Syslog, IPTables, etc.)Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud EnvironmentsExperience with containerization and microservice architectures
