Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is searching for a SeniorInfrastructure Engineer who is responsible for the design, reliability, and ongoing improvement of the organization's core technology infrastructure. This position plays a key role in ensuring the availability, recoverability, and operational stability of critical systems spanning on-premises platforms and integrated cloud services. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.This role emphasizes thoughtful system design, operational reliability, and automation, with an expectation that repeatable infrastructure tasks are progressively converted into secure and maintainable automated solutions. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer serves as a senior technical resource and escalation point, working closely with operations and technology teams to ensure infrastructure services remain resilient, well-documented, and aligned with organizational needs.The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and 10 or more years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles preferredStrong experience with production virtualization platforms, primarily Microsoft Hyper-V, with VMware considered a beneficial complementIntermediate-level administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server and Linux, including use of hybrid management tools such as Azure Arc or comparable solutionsHands-on experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms (e.g., Rubrik, Veeam) and performing restoration testing and operational validation, along with supporting disaster recovery solutions such as Azure Site Recovery in hybrid environmentsFoundational understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure services and integrating cloud capabilities with on-premises systems, plus solid knowledge of internet-facing components such as load balancers, web platforms, and transport securityProficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools, and strong working knowledge of core enterprise services including DNS, DHCP, directory-integrated services, and certificate lifecycle managementScripting skills are a plusClient centric and able to work in a variety of environments; must be able to manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated expert level troubleshooting and analytical skillsProven communication & organizational skills; must have ability to communicate at all levels within the organization both verbally and in writingMust be able to work independently and as part of a teamDemonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian missionCBN is a global nonprofit ministry demonstrating the love of God by sharing the Gospel through digital content, traditional media, and humanitarian aid.
