Job Description Pay Range: $25 - $30 / hourDates of Camp: Regular Camp session is Monday, June 8, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026. Additional work available through Wednesday, August 12, 2026 for Post Camp. The Job: Are you fluent in Hebrew and love interacting with kids? If so, this might be the role for you! As the Tayasim Unit Leader you will serve as a leader and source of support for your co-counselors. You will be a role model, creating a welcoming and safe environment for campers to grow, learn and lead fun and exciting activities while almost exclusively speaking Hebrew. The Core Duties: Supervise an assigned group of campers or rotate among several groups of campers during the camp day to ensure the safety and well-being of each camperProvide support to co-counselors and work with the J-Camp leadership staff to work through any challenges or issues in campPartner with J-Camp leadership, International Staff (shlichim), Tayasim Project Leader and Kaytiz Kef representatives to provide authentic Hebrew Immersion programming Speak primarily Hebrew to Tayasim campers, throughout the day and in accordance to training Lead and co-lead a variety of camp value-based camp activities for your camper group, including but not limited to: arts and crafts, sports, stem projects, water play and swimming, classic camp games, and team buildingParticipate enthusiastically and lead your group in elements of Chavurah (morning song session), L'hitraot (afternoon song session and gratitude), and ShabbatThe Essentials:Ability to provide guidance and engagement to children, grades kindergarten to sixth grade, in Hebrew. Previous experience working in Tayasim Hebrew Immersion CampAt least 18 Years of age + High School Diploma or GED Equivalent1+ years of experience working with youth in a camp or other recreational settingMaintain a positive attitude in complex situations after working long hoursAdjust quickly to changes with open mind and flexibilityRecognize and respond to emergency situationsAbility to meaningfully engage with all age levelsStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
