Role: PEMB Construction EstimatorLocation: Kansas City, MOSalary: $130,000 - $150,000 + bonus, DPOEDuration: Permanent/Direct HirePEMB Estimator – Steel Erection & Pre-Engineered Metal BuildingsWe are seeking an experienced PEMB Estimator with a strong background in steel erection and pre-engineered metal building systems to support competitive, high-quality project delivery. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of estimates from concept through bid, working closely with manufacturers, field teams, and clients to develop accurate, constructible pricing.What You’ll DoPrepare conceptual and detailed estimates for PEMB material supply and erection laborPerform quantity take-offs for structural steel, secondary framing, roof and wall systems, and accessoriesReview and level manufacturer proposals, ensuring scope completeness and constructabilityDevelop labor estimates and preliminary erection plans to support scheduling and manpower planningCoordinate with operations, vendors, and clients to define scope and resolve gaps prior to bid submissionIdentify value-engineering opportunities and alternative solutions to improve competitivenessSupport project turnover by communicating key assumptions, risks, and strategies to field teamsWhat We’re Looking For3+ years of estimating experience focused on Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)Hands-on knowledge of steel erection methods, sequencing, and labor productivityStrong ability to read drawings, specifications, and manufacturer proposalsExperience with quantity take-offs and labor forecasting for PEMB projectsProficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office toolsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bid deadlinesWhy This Role Stands OutWork on diverse PEMB and steel erection projects from concept through awardCollaborate closely with manufacturers and field operations, giving you real project impactOpportunity to apply technical expertise in constructability, scheduling, and value engineeringStable pipeline of projects with opportunities for long-term growthFootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
