Our team designs systems from concept to commissioning, including system and network architecture, software development, component assembly, technology configuration, installation, testing, certification, ongoing support, and maintenance.Position DescriptionThe Sales Specialist reports to both the Vice President of Sales and the President, assisting the Sales and Business Development team with managing the proposal process for RFPs from both current and prospective clients, while also contributing to sales activities related to proposal development. The Sales Specialist works collaboratively with Account Managers, Engineers, Sales Engineers and Project Managers as a key contributor in the sales and marketing processes.Primary ResponsibilitiesSales Activities:Proactively generate leads, conduct cold calls, and follow up on inbound inquiries to identify sales opportunities.Travel to and attend trade shows and various industry events related to the Utility Scale Energy market.Organize and attend regular sales meetings with potential customers at their location. These meetings will consist of in-depth reviews of active proposals with customer decision-makers, customer pipeline reviews, and presentations of Trimark’s current products and services.Present and demonstrate Trimark’s Utility-Scale SCADA solutions to prospective clients, highlighting their benefits and how they meet the clients' operational needs.Negotiate pricing and terms, ensuring that Trimark’s value proposition is communicated effectively and clearly.Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.Identify and engage new and existing EPC clients, Developers, IPPs, and other large-scale energy organizations.Proposal Management:Create proposals using system block diagrams (SBDs), written descriptions, specifications, and all other project-specific details provided by the Business Development team while maintaining attention to detail and Trimark standards.Update and track the status of assigned proposals in NetSuite daily to ensure deadlines are met.Write proposals based on pricing information and scope of work. Proof proposals and pricing for accuracy. Organize proposals in folders including email chains, scans of proofs, drafts, etc.Collaborate with the Business Development team on proposal approach and pricing.Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating proposal templates for all the various types of proposals, including writing the content, updating the graphics, and formatting.Client Engagement:Represent the Trimark Associates brand to new and existing customers.Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to tailor solutions based on client specifications and requirements.Track sales performance metrics, report on progress, and provide updates to the Business Development team.Marketing and Administrative Support:Assist in internal and external projects and campaigns.Assist in marketing communications, social media postings, and public relations (PR) efforts, such as collateral development, website blog writing and editing, tracking website traffic, updating PowerPoint presentations.Maintain customer database within NetSuite.Qualifications & RequirementsMust have a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent skills and expertise necessary for this role and be exceptionally skilled in written communication with a background in the engineering, technology, or related industries.
