Travel RN - Med/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a dayshift Post Acute Long Term Care position requiring a ME or compact RN license and at least two years of nursing experience.Job Details• Work in a post-acute setting with long-term care and skilled nursing facility units,• Units include a specialized Alzheimer's/dementia unit, a 42-bed transitional rehabilitation unit, and a 42-bed general long-term care unit,• Patient populations include residents with Alzheimer's/dementia, individuals requiring short-term rehabilitation after surgery or injury, and long-term care residents,• Nursing services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management,• Day shifts are 7:00 am to 7:00 pm,• Flexibility to float to other units as needed is required,Job Requirements• Active RN license in ME or a compact state,• Associate degree in Nursing required,• Minimum of two years prior RN experience in a similar setting,• Current BLS/BCLS certification required,• Strong teamwork and communication skills required,• Experience caring for Alzheimer's/dementia residents preferred,• Previous employment with the facility is not accepted,• Candidates with licensure issues will not be considered,Additional Information• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to diverse resident populations,• Tailor communication and care strategies to the unique needs of Alzheimer's/dementia residents,• Participate as part of a collaborative care team in a home-like environment,• Role may involve coverage to support 24/7 operations as needed,
