This role requires a mix of technical knowledge, market awareness, and communication skills to evaluate scopes, develop estimates, and coordinate with both internal teams and external partners. Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager or Director of Estimating, you will play a key role in shaping winning proposals and ensuring seamless transitions into execution.Responsibilities:Review project documents to assess scope, feasibility, and bid strategyDevelop conceptual and detailed estimates across multiple project phasesPerform accurate quantity take-offs using software such as Bluebeam or On-Screen TakeoffCoordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bidsLead internal estimate reviews and prepare executive summaries for leadershipPresent estimates and value engineering options to clients and stakeholdersSupport handoff processes to project management and operations teamsMonitor awarded projects to assess estimate performance and identify improvementsRequirements:5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, ideally within commercial, institutional, or industrial sectorsIn-depth knowledge of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction methodologiesProficient in estimating tools such as Electrical Bid Manager and On-Screen TakeoffStrong analytical and organizational skills, with an eye for detailComfortable managing multiple deadlines in a dynamic environmentExcellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiencesFamiliarity with Bluebeam, Excel, and platforms like Procore (preferred)Salary: $120,000–$130,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonusesLocation: Phoenix, AZ – In-office role with occasional local travel as requiredBenefits:Full medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchGenerous PTOOpportunities for professional development and mentorship
