Preconstruction Manager

My highly reputable client, a leading Commercial General Contractor based in Arizona, is actively seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established builder known for delivering high-quality commercial projects across sectors including industrial, healthcare, education, multifamily, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the early phases of construction projects, leading estimating efforts, budgeting, cost analysis, and overall preconstruction strategy from concept through project award. This individual will collaborate closely with owners, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams to ensure projects are positioned for success before breaking ground.Key Responsibilities:Lead all preconstruction and estimating activities for commercial construction projectsPrepare conceptual estimates, detailed budgets, quantity take-offs, and bid packagesAnalyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify scope gaps and cost-saving opportunitiesManage subcontractor and supplier relationships during bidding and procurement phasesCoordinate with project management and operations teams to ensure smooth project transitionsParticipate in client meetings, presentations, and value engineering discussionsDevelop and maintain project schedules, logistics plans, and risk assessments during preconstructionProvide accurate forecasting and reporting throughout the estimating processRequirements:7+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within commercial constructionStrong knowledge of ground-up commercial construction projectsExperience working for a General Contractor is requiredProven ability to prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimatesProficiency with estimating software and construction management platformsExcellent communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
