Senior Project Manager

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Provide leadership and oversight of assigned projects, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and profitability goals are achieved.Review and approve estimates, proposals, budgets, schedules, and contract documents.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.Provide guidance and mentorship to Project Managers, Engineers, and field staff.Monitor and manage subcontractor and vendor performance.Oversee project risk management, cost controls, and forecasting.Ensure compliance with company standards, contract requirements, and safety regulations.Collaborate with leadership and estimating teams on business development and pursuit of new opportunities.Represent Wagner Construction at client meetings, community events, and industry functions.Related Responsibilities:Support recruitment, retention, and development of high-performing project teams.Ensure timely project reporting, documentation, and financial closeout.Promote a positive, collaborative, and safe work environment.Identify process improvements to enhance project efficiency and profitability.Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil, underground utilities, or site development.Demonstrated success managing large-scale or high-profile projects ($25M+).Strong leadership skills with proven ability to mentor and guide teams.Track record of building long-term client relationships and repeat business.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, and project management/estimating software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid).Ability to work under pressure in a high-production environment.Flexibility to work in diverse locations as project needs change.Willingness to travel as required.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Typical office environment with regular visits to construction sites (outdoors and indoors).Extended periods of desk and computer work.Frequent interaction with clients, subcontractors, and staff.Regular field exposure to varying weather and active construction environments.Some travel required.
