This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate cost reporting and providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and report onmanufacturing costs , including labor, materials, and overhead.Preparecost reports and variance analysesto identify trends and areas for cost reduction.Monitorinventory valuation , including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.Work closely with operations and production teams to ensureaccurate cost allocation .Assist withmonth-end closing processesrelated to cost accounting.Develop and maintainstandard costing modelsand update cost estimates as needed.Review production data to identifyinefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities .Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing operations.Ensure compliance withcompany policies and accounting standards .Assist with internal and externalfinancial auditsas required.QualificationsBachelors degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related fieldrequired.3+ years of experience incost accounting or financial analysis , preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge ofcost accounting principles and inventory accounting .Proficiency inMicrosoft Exceland financial reporting tools.Experience working withERP systemsis highly preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.Preferred QualificationsExperience inmetal manufacturing, foundry, or industrial production environments .Knowledge ofstandard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management systems .CPA or CMA certification is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis position operates primarily in an office setting within a manufacturing facility and requires close collaboration with the finance, operations, and production teams.
