Job Title: Accounting & Operations Analyst (Cost & Manufacturing Focus) Location: Tampa, FL (hybrid) - 4 days onsite a week Employment Type: Contract (15–18 Months) Role Overview We are seeking an Accounting & Operations Analyst to support financial and operational activities across multiple business units in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, hybrid role that blends cost accounting, operational analysis, and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on supporting day-to-day processes, identifying issues, and improving data accuracy across systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented problem solver who can work independently, analyze data, and communicate effectively with both accounting and plant/operations teams. Key Responsibilities Operational Analysis & Support Analyze operational costs, KPIs, and production metrics Review production and shipment data to identify errors, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies Investigate and validate spend and cost trends for reasonableness Partner with plant and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepancies Accounting & Close Support Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Support invoice processing, payment tracking, and accruals Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation Generate reports and insights using Power BI and Excel Costing & Inventory Oversight Support cost accounting processes, including cost center setup and maintenance Review and validate inventory transactions and adjustments Monitor inventory levels, in-transit balances, and variances Assist with product costing and financial controls Process Improvement & Data Validation Execute recurring operational and financial checks (weekly/monthly) Identify opportunities to improve processes and data accuracy Ensure alignment with internal controls and compliance requirements Support ongoing operational and system improvements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–5 years of experience in: Accounting Cost analysis Operational finance or manufacturing environments Experience with SAP (required) Strong proficiency in: Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) Power BI (reporting and dashboards) Experience working with inventory, costing, or financial controls Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills, especially when working with operations or plant teams
