Are you an experienced child welfare or human services leader looking to make a lasting impact?
We are seeking a Program Director to lead our Foster Care program serving youth and families in the New Bedford community. In this leadership role, you will guide a dedicated team, partner with DCF and community agencies, and ensure children in care receive safe, stable, and supportive placements.

As Program Director, you will oversee the daily operations and leadership of our foster care program, ensuring high-quality services and strong support for both staff and the families we serve.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and supervise a team of 10+ foster care and human services professionals
Oversee program operations to ensure quality services and regulatory compliance
Partner with DCF, foster parents, families, and community agencies to support youth in care
Provide supervision, coaching, and development for program staff
Monitor program performance including service quality, census, and program utilization
Collaborate with Area Directors to strengthen program operations and growth
Maintain strong relationships with referral sources, case managers, and stakeholders
Advocate for the needs and well-being of youth and families receiving services
What You Bring
Master’s degree required in Social Work, Human Services, or a related clinical field
Experience working within foster care, child welfare, or DCF systems
Leadership experience supervising teams of 10 or more staff
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to supporting vulnerable children and families
Bonus Qualifications

Experience managing or leading foster care or child welfare programs
