Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity MichiganSeeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide night call and weekend coverage within a Level I trauma, hospital-based practice.Position Details:Adult patient populationProvide cardiothoracic surgical care including cardiac and general thoracic proceduresCoverage includes primarily weekend call (Friday evening through Monday morning) with potential for one additional week of call per monthApproximately one surgical case per weekendDedicated daytime access to two cardiovascular surgery operating roomsEMR: EpicRequired Procedures:Adult cardiac surgery including CABG and valve repair/replacementGeneral thoracic surgery including lung biopsy, lung resection, pneumonectomy, and mediastinal proceduresTube thoracostomy, pericardial window, thoracotomy, and decorticationRequirements:Board Certified in Cardiothoracic SurgeryActive Michigan medical license or ability to obtainBLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications requiredClean malpractice and license history preferredNPDB self-query required at presentationAdditional Details:Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 daysTravel and lodging accommodations are providedThis opportunity offers coverage within a high-acuity trauma center supported by a dedicated cardiovascular surgical team.
