Florida Physician Specialists has an immediate opening for Medical Assistants in our McIver Clinic division.Medical Assistants work with the physician and non-physician providers in the clinical area to provide support and high-quality care for patients. The McIver Clinic division has five locations and thirteen physicians and some travel to satellite offices may be necessary.RequirementsIdeal candidates for this position will have:Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and potentially stressful environmentAbility to communicate effectively with physicians and staff both verbally and in writingProven track record of working well with patients, physicians, and staffAttention to detailAbility to manage challenging patient or staff issues in a professional and courteous mannerEssential Job Functions:Escort patients back to exam rooms, prepares patient for physicianSet up office surgical trays, while maintaining sterilityTake vital signs and obtain a short explanation of the reason for the patient visit.Assist the physician with simple office proceduresMaintain patient confidentiality and strict HIPAA complianceOccasional travel between division offices may be required. Must hold and maintain active Driver's License and pass MVR screening upon hire and annually.Travels to various division clinics located in Jacksonville, Orange Park, and St. Johns, FloridaOther duties assignedEducation and Experience:High School diploma required.CPR certified.Schedule:Monday to Friday; 7:45am to 5pmExperience:Medical/urology office experience: 1 year (Preferred)Allscripts/EHR (Preferred)License/Certification:Medical Assistant certification (Preferred)Ability to perform KUB's is a plusValid Florida Driver's License and clean driving history
