This educator fosters a passion for music, develops students' instrumental skills, and creates meaningful performance opportunities while supporting student growth in a positive and inclusive learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging orchestra instruction aligned with district and state standardsTeach instrumental music (strings) across multiple grade levels and buildingsTravel between district buildings to provide instruction and support music programmingDevelop students' technical skills, musicality, and appreciation for musicPrepare students for concerts, performances, and community eventsDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learnersAssess student progress and provide feedback to students and familiesMaintain accurate records of student participation and achievementFoster a positive, inclusive, and performance-focused classroom environmentCollaborate with music staff and building teams to support a cohesive K12 music programPromote student engagement and participation in orchestra programs Additional ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and lead concerts, performances, and related eventsAssist with instrument inventory, care, and music library organizationPerform other duties as assigned by the Principal or District Administration QualificationsValid Ohio teaching license in Music (K12 or appropriate licensure)Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (Master's preferred)Strong background in string pedagogy and orchestral instructionExperience teaching multiple grade levels preferredAbility to travel between district buildingsStrong classroom management, communication, and organizational skillsPassion for music education and student engagement Work Environment & ExpectationsTravel between school buildings throughout the workdayUse of instructional technology and music-specific equipmentParticipation in evening performances and school eventsOngoing professional development and collaboration with district staff Cromwell
