Title I Elementary TeacherThe Oberlin City School District is seeking a passionate, student-centered educator to join our team as a Title I Elementary Teacher. The teacher collaborates closely with classroom teachers, intervention staff, and families to support student growth in literacy and/or mathematics while fostering confidence, engagement, and academic success.Essential ResponsibilitiesDeliver targeted Title I instructional support to individual students and small groups based on identified academic needs.Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions aligned with district curriculum and state standards.Monitor student progress using assessment data and adjust instruction to support student achievement goals.Collaborate with classroom teachers, intervention specialists, and support staff to develop and implement instructional plans.Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and success.Maintain accurate student records, intervention documentation, progress monitoring data, and parent communication.Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support.Participate in district and building-level professional development, data meetings, and collaborative planning.Support implementation of district initiatives, including MTSS and IB instructional practices.Assist with state and district assessments as assigned.Maintain compliance with all federal Title I requirements and district procedures.QualificationsCertification/LicensureValid Ohio teaching license appropriate for elementary education.Reading endorsement required.EducationBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education.Master's Degree preferred.ExperiencePrevious elementary teaching and/or intervention experience preferred.Experience working with diverse student populations and differentiated instructional practices preferred.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong understanding of elementary literacy and mathematics instruction.Knowledge of intervention strategies, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction.Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the success of all students.Additional InformationThe Oberlin City School District offers a collaborative and supportive educational environment with strong community partnerships and a longstanding commitment to excellence in education.J.
