Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only) Duration: May 2026 – August 2026 (Extension Possible) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST Hours: Up to 780 hours Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable architectures across cloud-native and modern application environments. This role focuses on building secure-by-design systems , ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and enabling enterprise modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud security, identity management, and DevSecOps, with the ability to influence architecture decisions across complex environments. Key Responsibilities Security Architecture & Strategy Design and implement secure cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred) Define and enforce enterprise security standards, policies, and best practices Conduct architecture reviews and provide security guidance for modernization initiatives Identity, Access & Zero Trust Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies Design and enforce Zero Trust Architecture principles Establish secure authentication, authorization, and access control models Perform threat modeling for complex systems and applications Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies Present security assessments and recommendations to leadership Application & Platform Security Secure microservices, APIs, and containerized environments Implement and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools Ensure security controls across cloud platforms and distributed systems DevSecOps & Automation Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows Enable automated security testing and compliance validation Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into development lifecycle Compliance & Data Protection Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) Support governance and audit readiness across systems Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in information security and systems architecture Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 and Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture Experience with Threat modeling and risk assessments Securing microservices, APIs, and containerized environments Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools DevSecOps integration within CI/CD pipelines Preferred Qualifications Experience securing AI/LLM-based systems and data pipelines Strong understanding of data protection strategies (PII/PHI) Experience presenting to executive stakeholders Ability to develop enterprise security policies and architecture standards Work Requirements Must be local to Austin, TX (no relocation candidates) Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite (Mon & Thurs), 3 days remote Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required Interview process includes in-person and virtual rounds J-18808-Ljbffr
