Position: Cloud Security EngineerLocation: 12+ Month Contract (Strong potential to extend multiple years)Location: Austin, TXClient: TXDOT // APEX SYSTEMSRate : $70 to 80/hr on C2C (AI)This role requires onsite presence 4–5 days per week. Candidates must reside in the Austin area and be authorized to work in the U.S.DUTIESThe Tools Team Cloud Security Engineer is responsible fordesigning, implementing, and maintaining security controls across multiplecloud platform environments (Google, AWS, Azure. Etc). This role ensures theconfidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud hosted applications,data, and infrastructure by applying best practices in identity, network,data protection, monitoring, and compliance. Selected individual will beresponsible for implementing and maintaining the current Cloud SecurityMonitoring tool deployed by team.Team member will provide services in the following areas:Maintain Cloud Security Monitoring ToolDevelop and implement automated security controls and guardrails across GCP environments.Maintain compliance with internal security standards and external regulatory frameworks through audits, remediation, and continuous monitoringMinimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and QualificationsYearsSkills/Experience8Designing and managing Cloud solutions (Google, AWS, Azure)8Hands-on experience performing risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud architecture task8Incident response, risk management, cybersecurity fundamentals, container security, and DevSecOps8Effective, professional business communication and reporting8Knowledge and hands on experience using Cloud Security Monitoring Tools (Ex WIZ, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Tenable Cloud Security)Preferred Skills and QualificationsYearsSkills/ExperienceGoogle Professional Cloud Security Engineer certificationExperience with Cloud KMS, Cloud Armor, SCC, GKE, DLP, and ChronicleFamiliarity with DevSecOps, container security, and automated policy enforcemen
