This seasonal position begins in early May and ends in late August.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive hourly wage: $14 per hourEnjoy a holiday rate of 1.5 times normal pay on Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor DayComplimentary meals are provided in our team-member dining room while on scheduled breaksCelebrate with your family at our annual summer pool party for all team membersEssential Job Functions:Support the mission and core values of Atlanta Athletic ClubSupervise children aged 6 months to 12 yearsAssists with potty-training and changing diapers when necessaryPlan and lead fun and engaging educational activities including arts, crafts, games and storytellingEnsures a safe environment by following established safety procedures and guidelinesAccurately complete accident and incident reports related to child injuries or behavior concernsAssists with the set up and breakdown of children's activities and eventsSupport club-wide events that have child-friendly activitiesMaintain a clean, sanitized, and welcoming space for children and parentsFoster a positive and supportive environment for children, parents and team membersEngage professionally with members, guests, colleagues and supervisorsSupport club-wide events that have child-friendly activitiesPerform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Youth Activities DirectorRequirements:Knowledge of age-appropriate play and educational activitiesWork a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysDemonstrate strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skillsBuild and maintain positive relationships with team membersDemonstrate flexibility with daily camp activities, as schedules may changeAble to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of one year of experience in childcare or teaching leadership role preferredSchedule:Summer camps are Monday through Friday starting May 26Seasonal Part-Time (15-20 hours/week) or Full-Time (20-40 hours/week), based on your availabilityShifts vary based on the needs of the Club and include nights, weekends and holidaysRequired training session in May.
