Details Work in the PACU unit of a short-term acute care teaching hospital with 471 staffed beds Patient population includes Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and surgical cases spanning Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, and Ortho/Total Joints Evening shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (1:00 PM–11:30 PM) or 5-shift variation (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) On-call requirement of 4 shifts per month (2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight call shifts) Charting is done in Epic (experience preferred) Scrubs are provided in teal Requirements Active NY RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement is mandatory for all RNs at this facility Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-687383.
