Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement.Diagnostic and patient monitoring (detection and recognition of acute changes and escalation or concerns/critical results).Administration and monitoring therapeutic interventions and regimens (starting/maintaining intravenous therapies, administering medication per patients' rights, preventing falls and skin breakdown and following policies in relation to safety measures).Effective management of rapidly changing situations (identifying, assessing and anticipating needs).Organization and work rule competencies (prioritizing, coordination and meeting multiple patient needs in a timely manner).Helping Role (consistently contribute to a healing environment, providing patient comfort and support for human dignity, serving as a patient advocate and building and maintaining a therapeutic environment.Teaching-Coaching Function (assess and evaluates the patient's readiness and ability to learn, effectively explains a patient's condition and their interpretation of his or her illness.Job RequirementsRequired Education & Experience:* Associate's Degree in Nursing or Equivalent* Completion of an accredited Nursing ProgramPreferred Education & Experience:* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/Equivalent or HigherRequired Licensure & Certifications:* Registered Nurse License* American Heart Association BLSPreferred Licensure & Certifications:* American Heart Association ACLS* American Heart Association PALSRequired Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:* Proficient in necessary nursing procedures (Including medication administration, wound care, ECG interpretation (basic), and patient assessment).* Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.* Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and maintaining a safe work environment.* Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) documentation.#RNSoutheastWhere You'll WorkCHI Memorial, a member of CommonSpirit, is an award-winning, not-for-profit, faith-based health care organization dedicated to the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
