Job DescriptionWe have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the within the Consumer and Community Banking, Connected Commerce Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team in Lending Innovation to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesDesigns, develops, and deploys scalable, highly available and secure AWS cloud-based solutionsBuilds and maintains infrastructure as code using AWS Cloud FormationAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsFormal training or certification on back-end engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experienceQualifications in computer science or STEM related field (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) or equivalentHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficient in Java developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environmentSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityMust have Knowledge of AWS - S3, EC2, ECS, Step Functions, Lambda, Roles and Groups etcPrior experience building internet scale web service/API platforms from the ground up. Strong understanding of OOP & SOA principles, Enterprise design patterns and industry best practices. Basic understanding of domain driven design, Micro-services patterns and architecture. Experience with Spring Boot Web Services on cloud platforms.Strong understanding of Java concurrency, concurrency patterns, experience building thread safe code. Expert level experience designing and building REST web services using Java @ internet scale. Experience with building messaging, event-driven architectures. Experience with high volume, mission critical applications. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExperience with tuning high volume applications. Knowledge of SDLC. Experience with IBM MQ, Apache Kafka.
