Operator
OperatorOperators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and performing site work based on accepted company procedures. Duties will include overseeing the loading and unloading of materials, monitoring inventory levels, testing material, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding operational standards to achieve operational targets.Essential FunctionsComply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and ProceduresPromote safe work habits to help create a zero-injury safety cultureAttends regular safety meeting and follows all safety guidelines as requiredMaintain communication with utilityMonitor and record levels of fly ash in silos and place orders as needed.Pulls samples of fly ash from loads and silos for testing and performs required testsLoads trucks, rail cars or barges with fly ash directly from the siloUnloads trucks, rail cars, or other deliver system to fill fly ash silosWeighs trucks and rail cars and records the information in relevant operating system or production sheet and creates tickets for billingOperates all loading equipment for loading trucks and/or rail cars including: water truck, dump truck, vacuum truck, or forklift on site when requiredOperate production equipment including start up and shut downAssists in the disposal operation where requiredPerforms maintenance on grounds, equipment and facilities as directedResponsible for all paperwork and reports as requiredRegular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibilityReport any safety, quality of equipment maintenance items to SupervisorAssist with maintenance repairs and projectsOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesResponds promptly to customer needsFollows established policies and proceduresDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughnessStrong verbal communication skills for conveying instructions, reporting issues, and collaborating with coworkers and supervisorsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructionsManages time effectively and meets productivity standardsObserves safety and security procedures including using equipment and materials properly and following all safety absolutesCapacity to deal with problems and troubleshoot equipment malfunctionsWorks well with others, follows instructions from supervisors and coordinates tasks with coworkers to achieve project goalsConsistently punctual and reliableAbility and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtimeAbility to adapt to changing job site conditions, equipment requirements, and project prioritiesEducation and/or ExperienceThe employee should have the following:High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant fieldEssential Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentBe exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortableWithstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or outProlong standing or sitting in stationary positionRequired to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlComplete repetitive movementsBend and/or twistMust be able to ascend/descend stairs or laddersLift/move/transport items up to 50 poundsAbility to move or traverse about the facilitiesAbility to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditionsWear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)Evening shift 4pm-4am 4 days
