Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift contract requiring 2+ years' experience, prior travel RN work, and charge RN skills.Job Details• Position is on a 29-bed Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric orthopedic and general med/surg patients,• Care provided to high volume orthopedic cases such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties,• Moderate volume includes other surgical and medical observation patients,• Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit,• Shift schedule is 3x12 hours, nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with every other weekend required,• No call required,• Floating may be required as needed,• Charge RN responsibilities may be assigned,• EPIC EMR experience is mandatory,Job Requirements• Active NC or compact RN license,• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience,• Previous travel RN experience is required,• Current BLS certification,• Charge RN experience required,• Experience with EPIC EMR system required,• Candidates must pass a required EKG exam (pass/fail, two attempts allowed),• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility,Additional Information• Responsibilities include providing care for orthopedic and medical surgical patients and acting as Charge RN as needed,• Physical therapy gym is located on the unit for patient rehab needs,• EKG exam preparation materials are not provided; candidates must prepare in advance,• Strict adherence to attendance and punctuality policies required,
