The Registered Nurse (RN) supports client health and safety through nursing care tailored to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This role includes conducting assessments, administering medications, providing education, and collaborating with the treatment team in a Residential, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) setting. The RN ensures all medical and behavioral health services meet applicable clinical and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings in accordance with facility policy.Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects and compliance.Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical teams to coordinate holistic care plans.Monitor and document clients' vital signs, detox/withdrawal symptoms, and behavioral changes.Educate clients and families on medications, self-care, and behavioral health conditions.Respond to medical emergencies and implement crisis protocols.Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations.Oversee infection control practices and maintain sanitation/medical safety standards.Support discharge planning by coordinating with clinical staff and external providers.Participate in team meetings, audits, trainings, and ongoing quality improvement efforts.Carry out other clinical duties as assigned by leadership.Education, Licensing & Certification Requirements:Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee.CPR/First Aid certification (required; must be maintained throughout employment).Experience in mental health, behavioral health, detox, or substance abuse settings is strongly preferred.Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check compliant with Tennessee regulations.Knowledge of psychiatric medications, withdrawal protocols, and trauma-informed care is a plus. Saturday 8am-4pm and occasionally once a week Monday thru Friday depending on census needs. Additionally, covering PTO requests for staff.
