Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Self-motivated, autonomy in a small 1:1-1:2 patient ratio Description: ICU Nights position available. Start date is typically within 3-4 weeks based on compliance tier. Years of experience required is a minimum of 2 years in ICU, excluding orientation time. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. No on-call requirements. Clinicians may float within the scope to meet facility needs. Block scheduling is not accommodated. No local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius. Pending licenses are not accepted. RTO restrictions are limited to 7 days within a 13-week contract. Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week for three 12-hour shifts. Special requirements include autonomy and the ability to consult with intensivists via Tele-ICU as necessary. This is a small 6-bed ICU with high acuity. The facility type is an acute care hospital with a Magnet designation. Total staffed beds are 97. The charting system used is EPIC. No parking fees apply. Daily census is around 6 patients. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Common patient diagnoses include adult general ICU medical and respiratory conditions, neuro/surgical cases, and high acuity surgeries. This position requires experience with various critical care skills, including ventilator management and dysrhythmia interpretation.
