Job Description Pay: $12/hrDuties and responsibilities:Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurantHelping guests with reservations and guiding them to their tableGiving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting areaProviding customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may haveOptimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staffAnswering phones and scheduling reservations with large partiesSKILLS:Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/WaitressUnderstanding of restaurant etiquetteFamiliarity with health and safety regulationsExperience in managing reservationsDemonstrable customer-service skillsExcellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar areaAvailability to work in shifts as neededGood physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shiftHigh school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus
