Position Type:Operations and Maintenance/Cleaner Date Posted:3/3/2026 Location:Building and Grounds Maintenance Closing Date:04/05/2026 LOCATION OF POSITIONFairport, NY 14450; Various locations TERM OF EMPLOYMENT12-Month Position, Full-Time; Multiple Shifts Available STARTING DATEAs Soon As Possible SALARY RATES: $16.00 per hour Shift differential: 2nd Shift - $16.50 per hour and 3rd Shift - $16.65 per hour DUTIESResponsible for all aspects of general cleaning offices, classrooms, and bathrooms, including but not limited to: Adhering to work practices, procedures, and safety plans and procedures including those for blood-borne pathogens.Window cleaning, wall washing, dry mopping, dusting, and vacuuming. Trash removal and recycling.Responding to emergency calls for cleaning, including body fluid clean-ups.Floor stripping and refinishing.Operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and carpet extractors.Cleaning bathrooms and locker rooms, filling dispensers with soap and paper.Moving furniture for relocations and setting up rooms for special programs and uses.Securing windows, doors, and locking up an area or building. Other related work as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of building cleaning procedures, materials, and equipment. Knowledge of cleaning agents and proper applications. Able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Able to retrieve work orders from a computer work order system. Good attention to detail. Able to work independently and as a team member, willing to assist and help other staff members. Must have a valid NYS driver's license. Physically able to perform essential functions of position (with or without reasonable accommodation), including but not limited to: repetitive cleaning tasks lift and carry 50 pounds light, medium, and heavy physical effort to clean and care for assignments - walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
